What Nari is
Nari is a remote therapeutic monitoring platform. It collects information about a patient between appointments and presents it to their clinician, so that the clinician can see how the patient is doing and act on it.
Nari is a tool for a clinician to use. It does not diagnose, it does not predict outcomes, and it does not decide anything about a patient’s care. What it surfaces are descriptions of how a patient’s own measurements have changed relative to their own usual patterns. Every clinical judgement, and every decision that follows from one, belongs to the clinician.
Who may use it
- Licensed clinicians and the staff of their practice, acting within their license and their own professional obligations.
- Patients enrolled by such a clinician, who have consented to being monitored.
You must be old enough to hold an account under the law where you live, or be enrolled with the consent of a parent or guardian.
If you are a clinician
- You remain responsible for the care of your patients and for your own clinical record keeping.
- You are responsible for obtaining valid consent from each patient you enrol, and for the accuracy of what you record about them.
- You are responsible for the claims your practice submits. Amounts the platform estimates are estimates, they are labelled with where each figure came from, and they are not billing advice.
- You must keep your credentials secure and must not share an account.
- You must grant access to a patient’s record only to people who are properly part of that patient’s care.
If you are a patient
- Taking part is voluntary. You may withdraw your consent at any time, and your care does not depend on agreeing.
- What you record should be accurate to the best of your knowledge. Your clinician may act on it.
- You may revoke any permission on your device, or disconnect a wearable, at any time.
Connected devices
You may connect a third party device or health service, such as a wearable ring or watch. Doing so authorizes that provider to send us the categories of information you approve. Those providers have their own terms and privacy policies, which govern their own handling of your information, and we do not control them. Disconnecting stops new information reaching us; it does not by itself delete what has already arrived, which you can request separately.
Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to access a record you are not entitled to see.
- Do not attempt to break, probe, or circumvent the security of the platform.
- Do not use the platform to harass anyone, or to upload anything unlawful.
- Do not scrape, resell, or redistribute information obtained through the platform.
- Do not use the platform to make automated decisions about a person’s care.
Availability
We work to keep Nari running and available, and we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. Data arrives from phones, wearables and third party services that we do not control, and any of them can be delayed or stop entirely. An absence of information in Nari does not mean nothing happened. Clinicians should treat gaps as gaps rather than as reassurance.
Fees
Fees between Nari and a practice are set out in the agreement with that practice. Patients are not charged by Nari. A patient may be billed by their own practice or insurer for monitoring services in the ordinary way, and questions about that go to the practice.
Ending your use
A practice may stop using Nari, and a patient may withdraw from monitoring, at any time. We may suspend an account that is being used in breach of these terms, or where we are required to. When an account ends, clinical records are retained or returned in accordance with the practice’s own legal record-keeping obligations, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers and liability
Nari is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law permits, we make no warranty that the platform will be uninterrupted, error free, or fit for a particular clinical purpose, and we are not liable for clinical decisions made using it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Changes to these terms
We will update this page when the terms change, and the effective date at the top will change with it. Where a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will tell you rather than relying on you noticing.
